How to Calculate Your Life Path Number Manually

While our digital calculator does the heavy lifting, the math behind numerology is quite simple. You take your full birth date (Month, Day, Year) and reduce each component down to a single digit by adding them together. Then, you add those three resulting digits together and reduce again. The only exception is if you hit the numbers 11, 22, or 33—these are called "Master Numbers" and are never reduced.

Example for October 24, 1993 (10/24/1993):
Month: 1 + 0 = 1
Day: 2 + 4 = 6
Year: 1 + 9 + 9 + 3 = 22
Final calculation: 1 + 6 + 22 = 29. Reduce again: 2 + 9 = 11.
Because 11 is a Master Number, it is not reduced. The Life Path is 11.
